Workshop At Beyond Trad

I will Be attending this Camp this summer from July 24-28. I will be taking a few workshops and also will be teaching a workshop on chopping. The description of the workshop is below if you want to attend.
Beyond Trad information and registration
In this workshop we will learn the basics of the chop and using fiddle as a back-up instrument instead of lead. The chop is something we use to mimic percussion sound, and if we add chords to that we have the backups to your basic band. We will learn the basics of the chop, which include, bow hold, contact on strings, and a few double stops. Like any skill the chop can be used in many different ways and to many different tunes, it’s all up to you. All you need for this class is your fiddle, bow, and lots of rosin!
