Twin Fiddles is a union of two well-known, award-winning and accomplished Canadian fiddlers, Saskatchewan’s JJ Guy and Saskatchewan-born, Nova Scotian Gordon Stobbe. They work together throughout the Canadian West and North teaching workshops, mentoring youth, performing and composing. Their distinctive original tunes are
written in the twin fiddle style with lead and harmony lines in a wonderful musical collaboration and reflects their shared love for traditional fiddle music, the unique places they have been and the people they have met. In performance, the Twin Fiddle show includes the rich stories of their shared experiences and includes much humour and audience participation. The album “Twin Fiddles”, which garnered a Western Canadian Music Award Nomination, represents a quilt work of original tunes written by Guy
and Stobbe which capture their Canadian homeland and its many hidden corners of wonder! This Successful tune writing style continues on the much anticipated and recently released “Twin Fiddles 2” Gordon Stobbe is a well known Canadian musician and educator from Nova Scotia. he appears regularly as an instructor at fiddle workshops and music camps across Canada and in the Canadian north. He has many radio, television, theatre, film and recording credits and is a regular contributor to ʻfiddler magazineʼ. JJ Guy is an award-winning Saskatchewan fiddler whose music is steeped in tradition. He performs and teaches across Canada and in the Canadian
North as well as appearing at festivals, concerts and fiddle camps from New Brunswick to British Columbia, and is also the winner of “The Peopleʼs Choice Award” at the Canadian Grand Masters in 2013
