Her fourth album\, “A Thousand Things” is a collection of folk-based songs\, tiny stories scattered with coastal images and encounters\, the recordings of which are supported by the lush string arrangements of composer Adrian Dolan. DESCRIPTION:Award-Winning Fiddler Ivonne Hernandez & Aisling return to Hermann’s with Oliver Swain and Quin with one N. \nIvonne Hernandez is Victoria’s most acclaimed roots musician who’s work as a performer and educator is already legendary in acoustic music circles around the world. 2017 JUNO winner\, 2x Canadian Folk Music Award Winner\, 2x Western Canadian Music Award Winner and 5x Grand North American Fiddle Champion. Ivonne’s brilliance will be on full display with her all-star band featuring Jeremy Walsh\, Jaime Troy\, and Oliver Swain. \nOliver Swain has been a celebrated musician for years\, held in high regard in acoustic and folk music styles for both his astonishing instrumental and vocal abilities\, though he seldom gives the genre a fully traditional treatment. Oliver Swain strays towards the whimsical\, the spiritual\, and the socially conscious side of what he likes to refer to as “chamber folk odyssey”\, and it’s these beguiling and provocative elements that make him unique as an artist and songwriter. As well as performing as a solo act\, Quin is in several groups (Fiddelium\, Queue The Music\, Kadence and The Neighbours). In each band\, he plays different styles of music including Irish\, Celtic\, folk\, rock\, bluegrass\, and pop. Quin’s knowledge of music of different genres and experience playing in different groups has allowed him to create a solo ‘one-man-band’ using a loop pedal\, multiple effects\, les pieds\, his guitar\, and voice.

Their distinctive original tunes are\nwritten in the twin fiddle style with lead and harmony lines in a wonderful musical collaboration and reflects their shared love for traditional fiddle music\, the unique places they have been and the people they have met.   In performance\, the Twin Fiddle show includes the rich stories of their shared experiences and includes much humour and audience participation.  The album “Twin Fiddles”\, which garnered a Western Canadian Music Award Nomination\, represents a quilt work of original tunes written by Guy\nand Stobbe which capture their Canadian homeland and its many hidden corners of wonder! This Successful tune writing style continues on the much anticipated and recently released “Twin Fiddles 2” Gordon Stobbe is a well known Canadian musician and educator from Nova Scotia. he appears regularly as an instructor at fiddle  workshops and music camps across Canada and in the Canadian north. He has many radio\, television\, theatre\, film and recording credits and is a regular contributor to ʻfiddler magazineʼ.  JJ Guy is an award-winning Saskatchewan fiddler whose music is steeped in tradition.
